Frame swap?

Ok I picked up a 2010 ninja 250r back in September and I got it for $300. I was wrecked so I got new forks for $150. Then turns out the frame was bent. I found a guy who sold me a frame all the flinging and a few other parts for $300. The second frame I picked up I have the pick slip and paper work but the reg hasn't been paid since 2014. The first bike with is the bike with good reg and had a solid motor. How do I go about reg for the swap frame having all the paper work...do I have to got to dmv and chp?...I'm kind of stuck now

Once you complete the swap , you will have to go to CHP and then DMV.
Basically you will be doing an engine swap from your original bike onto the new frame. You will have to take care of the registration on the frame you bought. You might be able to get a reduction in the back fees. Submit a statement of facts declaring the bike hasn't been used ot parked on public highways while it was unregistered. I have done this successfully a couple times. Depends on the clerk you get.

So how did it end up, Sharkey? Were you able to get the frame sorted out?
