Buying New Fairings

Hello all!

So I read some old postings about where to purchase new fairings for a ninja 250 but they all seem really outdated. Do any of you have any experience buying a new fairing kit? I really only ever see them on Ebay from the Chinese sellers but I'm not too sure I trust them hah. Let me know if you have any leads!

Thanks!

P.S. Looking to purchase a complete black set for my bike.

Hi and welcome!!!

Where do you think the original bodywork for your bike came from? From researching reviews, most people have not had many issues with aftermarket fairings. Most complaints have been that holes don’t line up. Nothing round rasp can’t fix! Also trick is to put in all bolts loose, wiggle panels around. Then tighten when all bolts have been installed.

I’ve searching for pregen bodywork for weeks now, nothing! Considering the bike was in production for decades, there should be zillions of vendors. Anyway, I gave up and ordered this complete newgen fairing set. Gonna do my own paint-job, so didn’t need to spend extra for paintjob.

The ebay ones aren't bad, I bought a set and converted them to track fairings to preserve my OEM ones. They do require a bit of drilling though to get fit right.

We're considering going through Auctmarts for fairings for our Ninja 250 and CBR 600, from what I've read, they're like most Chinese kits, not the best on fitment but overall the paint seems to not be too bad on these. I'm just planning on clear coating the crap out of them if we go this route to help make them more durable.

I used auctmart for my gsxr 750 and I wouldn't use them again. They are cheap and the fitment and quality is pretty crap.

The fitment issue I don't mind so much, I'll go crazy with the Dremmel, but how was the paint? (Apologies in advance to Wooters for the minor thread-jack, but this information may influence your decision as well).

The paint was alright, not great but not horrible either. If you are looking to save money it's a good alternative.
