Should I buy a clone of my bike, for $800?

When I am bored, I like to check craigslist for ninja's and I found this apparent 06 yellow ninja 250 for an asking price of only $800. Think I should bite? It is pretty rare to find a ninja for under $1500 in Pa.

Obviously not a lot of details, how bad could it be to pass at $800? Needs a new turn signal and windshield but no road rash?

If I had the extra money, I'd go for both.

Looks good but you never know till you ride it and go through the gears and corner (turning) too. Make sure you go through all the gears! Also check how many miles they have. Its a steal regardless though!

Going to check it out tomorrow. It has 5,500 miles, downed once "by a kid", with "minor cosmetic injuries" and "runs great". Considering how cold it is and being it sounds like it has been sitting for a while, I will be surprised if it even starts up.

If everything checks out and has a clear title, I would buy it.

Go for it!! a spare parts bike is always a good thing! Think of how few parts you'd have to buy when you break something on your current ride! Just go over to the 2nd bike, steal the part, and install it carefully on your first bike.

Marine Corps Avaition called them "Hanger Queens". At some point we had to get it back in flying shape... but a pile of spare parts has a lot to be said for it. Especially when you get a "NOT IN STOCK" message
