Thanks to the forum
So on this last day of the year, I thought it was only fitting to say thank you to this great forum! The wealth of knowledge available at our finger tips is amazing and I thank all of you for contributing so freely and helping this newbie get reacquainted to a life on two wheels.
As an example, just yesterday I screwed up with my maintenance but a quick check here solved the issue and probably saved me a bunch of money. I was washing the bike and noticed, while I had it on the rear stand in our drive way, that the oil looked low. Not time for a change, but thought I top it off a bit. Poured some, checked level and it was about midway between the lines. Poured some more and it was close to max line. Moved the bike back in the garage to clean/lube the chain and noticed in horror that the oil window was completely full, i.e. I overfilled. That's when I "remembered" that the drive way is not entirely flat  . Manual suggested a syringe, but don't have these laying around in the house. But never fear, a quick check on Ninjette.org showed that people had success with spray bottles during similar mishaps. Sure enough it did he trick perfectly and another crisis was averted....  So thanks to all for sharing your knowledge so freely and only the best wishes for 2013. I know that I will continue to be on here even if I should decided to move on to another bike.
