I need some measurements please.

Since I'm waiting on the new body and windscreen I feel like I'm neglecting the bike. I want to go ahead and mount my temp gauge but I need measurements first. Can someone measure behind the gauges from the line between the gauges and the plastic cover it mounts on to the windscreen. Then measure again 3 inches down in a straight line from the plastic to the windscreen. Stock windscreen or db it doesn't matter. I just need to know if I need to do some tweaking. Thanks.

I'm not exactly sure what measurement your looking for, but I took a 2 1/16" gauge I had laying around and set it between the stock windshield and gauges. It would only sit flush with the gauges if I turned it upside down. The lightbulb entered the gauge I was using near the top, so if the light bulb is on the bottom half you should be good.

I wasn't very clear in the first post. The plastic cover which the gauges mount to is where I need them from. The measurements needed all come from the v shaped area you see when standing infront of the bike looking down at the windscreen. I need a measurement from were the gauges meet the cover and then down about 3" but not to the point on a stock windscreen where the little dimples are. I have a similar sized gauge but pan on running a db windscreen so I know I will have a little extra room to play with.

do you still need me to get one a little further back? closer to the tip of the wind screen?
3 inches further back from the first ridge is about 1 3/4" to the screen... this is with the puig DB
