LiveWire has announced new pricing for its upcoming S2 Del Mar model, as well as updated availability for the European market. (LiveWire/)The teases from Harley’s spinoff electric brand, LiveWire, about its second model have been building for most of 2022, with the S2 Del Mar releasing specification “targets” throughout the year. Power output was expected to be in the neighborhood of 80 hp, with a hoped for range of around 100 miles in the city, and a physical launch was planned for spring of 2023. Last September, LiveWire said MSRP for the S2 Del Mar would be $16,999.

With its latest announcement today, LiveWire has revealed new pricing and availability for the S2 Del Mar, with deliveries for the US market expected to start in July; you can reserve one now for $100. But the new price adjustment pegs the Del Mar’s MSRP at $15,499, or $1,500 less than the previous target. That further cements the S2 Del Mar’s status as LiveWire’s most affordable model—the LiveWire One model still starts at $22,799.

Deliveries of the production model for the US market are expected in July. (LiveWire/)LiveWire is still keeping pretty mum about the rest of the spec sheet, only saying that “performance highlights and complete product specifications will be published in June, along with a full calendar of demo opportunities and events.”

But there are more details about the platform’s launch in Europe, which is also getting the Del Mar. LiveWire says reservations for the ultra-limited S2 Del Mar Launch Edition will open at 4 p.m. CET on April 27, and will require a 100 euro deposit. Only 100 units of the S2 Del Mar European Launch Edition models will be made, and these will feature unique hand-applied graphics and paint (in Himalaya White) that takes five days to complete. The Launch Edition of S2 Del Mar is planned for delivery in Europe this September.

LiveWire says it will be hosting a series of viewing events of the S2 Del Mar European Launch Edition at locations in London, Paris, and Amsterdam. For further information and to RSVP, check out livewire.com.

MSRP is $15,499 and the production version will be available in three colors: Nimbus Gray (shown), Nightfall Blue, and Asphalt Black. (LiveWire/)As for the rest of the Del Mar’s specs, they remain relatively unchanged, with a promised city range of 110 miles for the 431-pound motorcycle. The electric powertrain produces 184 lb.-ft. of torque and a 0–60 mph time of 3.1 seconds. Charging the battery from 20 to 80 percent on a Level 2 charger is said to take 75 minutes.

The production version will be available in blue, black, or gray, and will be assembled at Harley’s Vehicle Operations plant in York, Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, the LiveWire One is still the company’s flagship, with a loftier $22,799 sticker price as well as a greater range estimated at 146 miles.

The limited S2 Del Mar Launch Edition (US) sold out in less than 30 minutes when the order window opened last year. (LiveWire/)
