That red one is bloody beautiful, love the rear end and is that a 250R pipe or another pipe for another bike?

I'm actually wondering if that's even a 250 under the skin. Look closely at the polished pipes behind the front wheel and how close together they are. Looks more like the pipes from an I-4 then a P2, but I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

But that would be a butt-load of work to do. Different tail, forks, rear suspension, exhaust, swing arm, tires, rear sets, chain/sprockets, and brakes from what I can see. It ALMOST makes me think they took something like a ZX-6R and put the 250 plastics on or something.

that red bike is amazing - its definately a 250R under the skin but ALOT of money and time has gone into that thing - whats the front end swap from zx10R or maybe an R6 - both have those calipers I believe?

Anybody worked out how much all this would cost? The Ninjette is already famed for its quality. All these changes are almost imperceptible to non-Ninjette owners, so, it's not exactly a mass-public flaunt. If it costs thousands, which it would, why not just buy a higher-line model? The last question could be a naive one, since it is from someone who has never done any modding, who I assume would be in the majority. And how much better of a bike, performance-wise, is the result?

^^^ good performance gain in the suspension and braking work assuming the tire is up to task - the rest is pretty known or cosmetic

There is no argument, however, that it is a more gorgeous bike than even the stock Ninjette, and presumably a better performer.

any bike over 250cc is consider a luxury item in Indonesia, and the tax for luxury item is so high ( almost 200% )
hence alot cheaper to mod this little 250 than buying a bigger cc bike..

G'day Kelly, how's things in the Sandwich Islands?

Not sure what it is; the picture is taken at some local sugarcane fields about 25km from where I live. My guess is that it's some sort of sifting device for chopped up cane, the cane farmers use the left over residue to make a mulch for sale to local house-holders. I imagine it would be much the same in your part of the world.

The cane in the background is not quite ready for harvesting, it doesn't have the whispy flowery things on the top.

The other thing in the background is the iconic Australian Eucalyptus Tree (aka Ghost Gum).

It was a beautiful spring day, just perfect for a ride

Roll on summer.

If I was a millionaire, I would do something like that just to be unique. Otherwise, I would not put that amount of $$$ into a 250r when I could get something better and faster for the same amount $$$ I put in to produce something like that.

My '04 at Deal's Gap last weekend!! It was my first trip up there with the 250 and it was a blast, first time I've ever gotten the ninja over far enough to drag a toe slider.

I love that red bike Yokozuna brought to the table for pics. The cosmetics are just to my liking and the performance upgrade great if it all is worth the bucks laid out for it. But yesssssss it's a charmer for sure.

Person who did it is probably a native from Indonesia where the massively modded 250r's are born. Bikes over 250cc cost MUCH more than that modded 250r with all the fees and stuff. I hear its like 30k USD to get a 600cc bike.
