Just bought my first bike last week. 2010 Special Edition.

I've already chopped half the rear fender off just below the license plate, after these pics were taken, until I can get a fender eliminator.

Surpsrisingly no! The carb type we have has 45 teeth while the 650 has 46. Chains stayed stock since same size as the 650. The additional tooth some how makes the top speed increase a bit, the pull from stop is greater. Now the best part of this mod is the upgrade in weight second to the looks of course. The 650 wheel assembly weighs less than the stock 250 by almost 2 kilograms. That is after installing Bridgestone BT 090 150/60 and inflate it with Nitrogen.

But on turns and corners...all I can say is sweet and smooth

Such a fun bike to ride. Had no idea how much more I would like it than my 150cc scooter (which is now for sale

). Am adding a few carbon fiber looking accents here, and there (waiting for my tail bag to arrive). A few creature comforts (clock, wide view mirrors). Not much of a photographer. Took only one picture so far in the parking lot at work. Here is my baby. Love it love it love it

I must say though the bikes that come from Indo look the goods, but using the yellow one above as an example..........wouldn't they turn out to be a tad slower then a stock 250r.

Its a shame with all the body mods they put into their 250's that they also don't have the fastest 250's in the world as well.

most of the roads suck here, so going too fast is usually the best way to get yourself killed, or trash the bike, so... most people prefer to mod their bikes for looks, rather than performance. of course people do both as well, but quite often image is prioritized over performance.
