Ninja 250R 31BLK custom build done.

Here's a quick video and walk around. It turned out better than I expected.

glad to see you finally finish the project. Anything you are looking at changing now that it is together and you have better idea of everything?

Everything was changed already. I had 3 months to think about the changes. The only thing left is add license plate light. I'll probably make few minor changes later.

As blacked-out and stealthy looking as the bike and your gear is, I think you're going to majorly stand out! Everyone is going to be checking your bike out. I guess your older brother has the same problem when cruising in his tumbler.

Looks much better than the studio shots. Now needs a 500 motor swap.

Thanks. It's because of the other mods I added plus I had him change the front. The kit is awesome if you're into this kind of look. I know most people are into the full fairing sport bike look.

ha.. on a 250 I'd have to burn my clutch but even then the lower fairings are too low it would damage them. That's one flaw design I notice. When I tried to knee drag in the corner just to test it out it scraped. You can still make turns and corners fine just not at a high speed like I like to.

How is it not street legal? I've been commuting with it and pass cops all the time. Mirrors, turn signals, bodywork covers half of the rear tire... etc.

neither that tail nor the head piece would pass a state safety light inspection. just because the cops you see are nice/lazy enough to let you slide doesn't mean its following the rules.

Please post the rules/laws. I want to learn what's legal and not legal on the streets. From my research, I found it to be legal. Not challenging you, just want to see and learn something new.

From what I found, all bikes bodywork should reach half of the rear tire (Look closely, the top fender extends out to half of the tire). Front lights should be pointing downwards and not blind incoming motorists and turn signals visible from the front and sides. This bike covers all that.

for starters, you have no turn signals.

you have no plate light.

no forward safety lights.

no side reflectors.

there is nowhere you could mount the license plate that would be legally visible currently

don't misunderstand me. it probably wont be a problem until you need to take it in for safety inspection. which is kinda rare unless its been retitled or salvaged

Most people don't own totally street legal bikes if we want to get technical. We should all have reflectors on our license plate, but I have yet to see any super sport rider have them.
Replied above in quote. So basically you just confirmed my bike is street legal minus the side reflectors.

This just means I did a great job in modding my bike and you didn't even notice all that.

Speaking of which. I wonder if there's any blacked out side reflectors that will only reflect on sun light or when cars lights hits it? Hmm.. I'll have to Google that. Then instead of 99.9% street legal, it'll be 100% street legal.

Alex.S sounds like you just don't like the look. I read in one of your posts you like the full fairing look only. Stop being bias. I kid, I kid.

Cop: "Sir, pull over please. Your vehicle does not meet regulation 4-6-11-8-29... missing reflectors."

Cop: "... Sir... you are pointing at a black circle."

Yeah true, you can't tell in that video (which is the look i'm going for, stealth), so can't blame you for not knowing.

My bad. My helmet might be too tight. Awesome that all your bikes are naked. Even though, I'd have at least one with full fairing to have a different flavor.

Nooooo... He's not going to put me in the back seat for reflectors! It's a $10 fixing ticket.. I'm a good law abiding citizen!
