full gauntlet gloves for longer fingers

Since I damaged my gloves I have been looking for some new ones to replace them. But I just can't find some gloves that fit my longer fingers and narrow hands. My a* were comfortable but my fingers and thumb were always in contact with the tips of the glove (and I don't believe your fingers are supposed to be like that). I don't think I could go a size larger since that would make the glove wider (which certainly is not needed). So any suggestions on brands or whatever is much appreciated Thanks.

EDIT: I really liked my a* gp-plus though so would getting a size large make it that much fatter?

go to a shop and try some on.... I know that Dianese tends to cut their stuff on the slimmer size.

Yeah going up a size would make the glove larger in length, width, everywhere.

Have you heard of a brand named Held? It's a very popular high end brand with top notch products. The Held Phantoms are legendary for their comfort and protection. They sell gloves in numerical sizes and come in short/regular/long finger lengths.

Check em out!

I have a pair of Held Steve gloves and I see they now offer long and short finger versions. You may want to consider other models that Held has to offer, too. Very high quality materials and workmanship.

I highly recommend this glove for street riding.

Only shop i know of is fay myers and their selection is lowsy, very few good gauntlets in there. I used to have some Icon merc shorts and they had room but those internal seams just made my hands sore after every ride. Well I do see that icon has made some new overlord gloves with external seams but I've no where to try them on. They do have some dainese gloves though so maybe I'll see how they fit (though I rather not spend 300 on gloves lol). grazie
EDIT: I tried the held thrux liked them a lot but the thumb was way too short. I like held though...

I was considering those for a bit, but they just didn't seem as protective looking I guess. Do they have good knuckle protection in your opinion?

they aren't a race glove, but more designed for street riding. what speeds do you plan to crash at?

seriously, they are made from supple leather and kangaroo hide which helps to retain "feel" through the glove. If you want something more protective, check out their other gloves they have to offer with the long and short finger options.

Coo grazie! I'll check them out might end up getting them since they have the short and long sizes (didn't know about that on those gloves). IDK what speed lol, maybe mach2 or something.
But yeah I'm not speed racer or anything just want something nice, protective, and comfortable in the event of the unforeseen.

Read the reviews on newenough of all the gloves Held offers and make your choice. As you can see, they are not cheap, but quality rarely is.

A trick on sizing... I was unsure what my exact sizing would be (they come in 1/2 size increments, which is not very common with gloves), so I ordered 2 pairs of gloves in succeeding sizes and selected the one that fit me best, then returned the other pair. You pay for shipping, but it's like a custom fitting right there at home.

if you're unsure about anything, call them up and ask. They are all about customer satisfaction at newenough.

Sportbiketrackgear.com is also a great place for reviews and etc.,

If the brand you buy doesn't fit, you must acquit!

Kidding, if they don't fit - most companies will let you send them back in until you find a pair that do! Newenough is great about that.

So after reading reviews and searching all over the place I think I will first try the held pole position gloves (I like the sporty look and the superfabric padding on it). From what I have gathered they are made a little longer in the fingers than usual since some people whined about having too much extra in the fingers for whatever size they choose. If that doesn't work out I am going to go with the held steve II long gloves since I mainly use my bike as a commuter anyways. Thanks for the suggestions/feedback

let us know how it fits and your impressions of the gloves once you get them.

Remember, if you don't like them, you can always return them for a full refund.

I have phantoms. They are very comfortable and light, ventilation is excellent. Havent crashed in them though, but they seem very well armored. I think its worth the money.

The phantoms are supposed to be the best sport glove you can buy. From what I've seen they hold up in crashes really well. Yeah I really like astars stuff but I might have to go to a different brand. I remember watching a review on the gloves I bought on sportbiketrackgear.com. They said to get a size larger than normal since they run a little small. I bought mediums anyways and after having the gloves for a couple months, I really don't think a large would fit my hands.

Well newenough seems to be screwing around this time (and after all the crap I've ordered from them ). So I don't know when I will get to try some new gloves does anyone have anymore suggestions while I try to figure out what is going on with my pole positions(gotta make sure if they are sending them or if they need to give me my money back, and the gloves have ominously vanish from the website too)?

Alright, finally after i don't know two weeks, I have the held pole positions in my grasp. Remember those rumors about them being a little longer in the fingers? Well its true. They fit awesome on my hands and I feel that even if your fingers hit the tips you will still be comfortable since they made good external seams in the tips. There is a bit of pressure on my tips but after break in that should go away. All in all extremely satisfied and recommended for those of you that have fingers that are a bit longer than average. Be aware that they are on closeout ant sportbiketrackgear though so they won't be around forever.
Ride impressions and review with pics to come sat, thank you all for the advise!

Old thread but I figured a long term update was in order.

So seems like my helds didn't hold up in the long run as there is now a busted seam in the fingers. I'm gong to try to get them serviced under warranty. They said I'll have to wait 8 weeks. Come on I got riding to do lol. It's unfortunate these were the most comfortable glove I've had. Now to put Held to the customer satisfaction test. In the end I am getting new gloves (rs taichi) so I can keep riding, 8 weeks is much too long for me.

wow, surprised to hear of stitching problems with the Held gloves. Hope they do you right and cover that under warranty. Keep us informed.

where did you end up purchasing the Held gloves from? perhaps the vendor can help you out?

I ordered them from sportbiketrackgear so I don't know if they deal with warranty claims (their site doesn't really say anything about it) but I saw on Held's website the number to call. Just need my receipt of purchase. So hopefully it works out. The local gear shop I go to here was surprised to see that happen on Helds stuff. I will post back once I send them off to be fixed

I got them in September so I am still under warranty. Gonna send the gloves into held today or tomorrow if I get home soon enough. Hopefully held is like a* and makes this a painless experience.

I was gonna pick up a pair of the teknik lightning gloves (they look fantastic for the price) but I hate having the seams inside the glove on the fingers. I ended up grabbing a pair of the rs taichi gp evo gloves, which I should have today.

Alright I sent them off today, They told me an address without the actual number(found it online) and then didn't specify whether it was E W S N (Fedex said they'll figure it out seems to be SW), so hopefully it makes it there.
