Sportisimoto VR Carbon FSE

While it's not just a farkle and adds an extremely noticeable boost to power, I didn't rejet yet so it's just a farkle until tomorrow (plus this is just thread is just about the visuals anyways)

I was demoing the Growler the other day to a potential buyer and got yelled at by an old couple. I'm SOOOO glad to take that thing off finally (my stock can was damaged).

It's much louder than stock but it's not obnoxiously loud as the Growler.

With the growler, people used to plug their ears as went by on campus... no joke at all. It even set off a few car alarms in the parking garage.

Now, people turn to look, but no ear pluggage. I feel it's the perfect volume because it's noticeable on the road, but won't be setting off car alarms or hurting my ears.

As an update:

I put in some 40 pilots and factory pro needles with clip on 3rd, 2 washers, and clip on top. I don't know if it's just me but it seems like it's pulling way hard in the mid range because I'm shifting way faster.

In the high range I can't tell if it's the same or faster, but it almost feels like my tac can't keep up lol. Love it.

according to FP tuning tips high rpm range 8k+ pull is mostly contributed by changing the main jets. sounds like you are doing the FP tuning tips in reverse, as they suggest playing with high end first, then mid range, and finally low range. carb tuning is definitely an art, takes significant amount of time and patience testing different variations. also it makes it a lot easier if you rip out that air box, and install allen head screws for the carb bowls.

Nice exhaust. Where did you get it from and how much? Also, when do we get to see your other new farkles installed?

Yes, main jets should always be focused on first. I know for sure the setup I have now will require the 40 pilot jet so I just threw it in off the bat. It's likely my needle setup won't change either.

I am ready to rip that airbox out.. believe me haha. I will say, the more difficult part now is just putting the carbs back in. Those rubber tubes just don't like to sit well and the stock 'clamps' on the block use philips instead of allen heads... barf

(Sorry for double post, didn't see dragon's post)

Exhaust was $450 from http://www.sportisimoto-usa.com/exhausts.php

I am still doing a bit of research before I install the triple and pre-load adjusters. Trying to see if it's do-able without a front stand as I only have a rear stand.

Probably also just going to wait until I get my clip-ons in before I go messing with the front end as I'm going to have to lower it a tiny bit
