Fatal Folsom motorcycle crash

I went down this road last night, but had to turn around because PD had closed the street. After posting on a local forum, I learned that what I had feared had really happend.

I didn't know him, but this kind of thing is a sobering reminder. For those not familiar with the area, this section of road is NOT that challenging.... So while I don't want to rush to judgment, I do assume he HAD to have really been pushing it. I don't know....

Any local guys know him or have more info?

Folsome is just north of where I grew up in Roseville, California. My thoughts and prayers go out to the rider's family and friends.

I just hope that everyone will take extra care of themselves.
Everytime i see an article or something like this, it almost makes me wanna quit riding!
Can't believe how terrible it must be for his family to lose him in under a second. I hope they're alright.

I've been through there once a while ago in a car and I don't really remember anything difficult about that particular area. Maybe speeding.. maybe just not paying attention. /shrug

Condolences to his family and friends.

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but where in Roseville? I have been living there all my life!

Also, regarding the accident, it is really sad. I see so many riders out here with only a helmet, riding as fast as possible swerving in and out of traffic, and generally not using their wits. Still, it's the speed that gets them. You just can't react as quickly as you might think you can at high speed. Plus, it's riders who drive like that who give the rest of us a bad name (like "organ donors"). Condolences to his family.
