Exclamation [NSFW] Preemptive Rider Vs. Reactive Rider

NSFW - Loud naughty language

Fantastic video.

I get regularly told by car drivers that bikes would be safe if it wasn't for the other dangerous drivers on the road that you can't control. I now have a video I can show them to demonstrate that you don't need control of the other drivers; just of your own actions.

You can audibly hear @BikersPOV freaking out at the dangerous position the rider was putting himself in... and then his prediction comes true. Van turns across on-coming traffic without having full visibility of what he was turning in front of.

Yes, the first rider gave the whole control of the situation to the driver of the van crossing his path.

That driver reacted much quicker than the rider, saving the day.

The fact is that vision was inhibited by the van making the left turn. When the bike decided to pass thru the intersection, it was up to him to make sure he could be seen before he proceeded. Right or wrong, that's just how it is if you want to live.

Um that is why you don't pass someone in the same lane as you turning. The bikers were wrong in this setting. It is a single lane of traffic.
