Very nice gearing program

http://gearingcommander.com/

Looks pretty accurate to me. I'm going to measure the circumference of my BT090 and BT016 tires and plug em in.

neat link! To save time, you can always measure the diameter and multiply by 3.1415927.

Nope. You gotta do 3.14 x r^2

Diameter will give the wrong value

I just got out of my college math class a while back. That stuff is hard after being out of high school for over 10 years!

No it won't If I remember back ten years your equation will yield the area of a circle.
3.141592654 (as far as I can remember) X D will yield the circumference.

I wouldn't publicize which college, it might be embarrassing for them. pi * r^2 is the area of the circle, pi * D is the circumference of the circle.

my brain is a molten mess after that math class. We crammed so much information into our heads I'm surprised that we all passed the class!
