Acting like hydrolocked over night?

The past 2 mornings I've went to go start my bike it'll turn over 2 or 3 times and then stop like its hydrolocked. But then I'll hit the gear shift into first and put it back into neutral. Then it started up fine. Am I getting it stuck between first and neutral and binding something?

It also didn't feel like it actually shifted into first this morning before i shifted back to neutral.

Both mornings once it started I rode it no problems. Staled it and restarted fine. And fired right up after work.

Could be just a fluke but it has been my experience that when that happens with frequency, the battery is soon to go (failing under load) or you need to clean your start switch. Get out your meter and ohm test your charging system. Things to also test and have a look at;

1. Check oil level and for contaminates
2. Clean your safety switches AND your starter switch
3. Clean your battery terminal connections
4. Check acid level in battery
5. Load test your battery
6. Ensure starter solenoid connection nuts and starter wire
7. Test your starter solenoid

Assuming all that passes, then one can only assume....

Good luck!

Also don't forget to monitor phase of moon and planets' alignment! Mars in retrograde can mean serious trouble!!!

Measure your neutral switch. If connection is flakey, it can go into open state with vibration of engine-cranking. Shifting out of and back into neutral may reset it into closed position. As test, disconnect wire connector from neutral switch and connect to ground full-time. Does problem go away?
