New addition to the stable.....

Here it is....2006 sv650s/f... got it yesterday, bone stock, 4700 on the odo.
This thing is awesome so much so that I got pulled over on the way back from picking it up by a motorcycle officer in a 35 zone...

Officer: You know how fast your were going?

Me: Officer,I just got his bike today, honestly (thinking they hear that everyday)

Officer: How fast were you going?

Me: 50 or 55?

Officer: Sounds right. Slow down and have a nice day. By the way, you got a license for that thing?

Me: yes, would you like to see it?

Officer: No, it's O.K. Have a nice day.

*shake hands and drive off*

Nice looking SV! Very bright and visible to the cagers.

Lucky you didn't get a ticket, that cop was really nice to you.

SV is a great bike with a great forum as well. Bar ends and motosliders should be your first two upgrades. Many will also suggest changing the suspension. It doesn't bother me personally, but it's definitely one of the weaker aspects on the SV650. Sign yourself up on www.svrider.com. We're great people over there!

I was torn between a 2005 ZX6-R with 8k miles or this bike. The ZX-6 Was $2k more though. This will be just fine for me. Sliders are going on soon. Any suggestions for no-cut models?

Taking it out to malibu tomorrow to check the twisties...I'm still a bit leery to ride these tires spiritedly-they're original '06 tires and a bit dry/weathered. My BT016s are going on this week, right before my trip to the bay area. I think 400 miles up the coastal roads should be good for break-in

I agree, that would be a good scenic break in for new tires. Have fun.
