Learned I need more experience painting. Will take the fender off & sand/paint again.

The 17" SV650 front wheel gives a larger selection of street tires compared to the 19" Vstrom front wheel and the Vstrom rear seat is more comfortable for the passenger compared to the SV rear seat.

Not only more tire selections, but how does the ride performance differ from OEM front wheel/tire?

The 17" requires less steering force transitioning into & out of curves compared to the 19" front wheel.

The 17" front wheel lowered the front 1". Previously had concerns about lowering the front & causing stability issues.
Love the way the bike handles on twisties/sweepers with the 17" front wheel. Have not had any issues so far.

The original 19" front wheel had wobble (head shake) between 45 to 50MPH. It no longer has the head shake with the 17" front wheel.

Lowering the front did decrease clearance, but when I drag the foot pegs with the 17" wheel up front, don't want to go any faster anyway.

Happy I made the modification!

Thanks,
