Fan overide ?

It's obvious to me lately that my bike runs different/feels different when it's warmed up. I don't do a lot of highway at all. It's all city stop and go short cruises between red lights.
How do we monitor our temps? Can I make a override for the fans so I could run them when I want?
Just curious as to what other people have to say
Thanks

for whatever reason you want to do this it seems like it would be simple enough. Disconnect fan from current circuit and then just run straight from the battery design a small circuit to fit the fans needs run circuit through a toggle switch to the fan.

You better be on the ball though with that toggle switch especially with lots of city driving, not sure exactly how prone to over heating the ninja is but seems like a risk i would not be willing to take.

I could be blowing this out of proportion but reading the pregen threads, they had overheating issues.
So how would a new gen without a temp gauge tell if it was overheating? My thought was to simply override the coolant temp sensor and force the fans on. Not remove the fans from the OEM circuit.

All I'm saying is my bike starts to feel different once the fans start cycling. Wasn't sure if that's normal or not

Feel different how? Maybe fan is pulling too much current?

or you can get something like this, but your going to have to find the output thermal sensor on the bike and connect to the input on this board.. then you could set the fan to turn on at any temp between 2c and 140c, definitely not impossible.

needless to say, any fan mods you do have the pontential to burn your engine if they malfunction or are tampered with.

Ide recommend first installing a digital temp gauge to the bike before anything.

Try the thermo-bob mod.

You could also install a thermostat which opens at a hotter temperature.

Ideal set-up is to have both a hotter thermostat and the thermo-bob mod. It's what I will be doing to mine.

Taking the cooling fan away is not a good idea.
