Anyone know what Gear ill need?

I was up at sportbiketrackgear the other week and i talked to Jake. I asked him about track days at either grattan or gingermann. He told me that since its my first time at a track, ill be put into Novice 1 class.
Gear wise, i would have to upgrade my pants (from scorpion textile Deuce riding pants), to a Leather Race pant, at least! The rest of my gear he said is fine and allowed.

Then the normal bike mods, just taping over the rear taillight, front headlight, all turn signals, mirrors (or remove them totally).

So besides the above, what else will i need to buy to be legit and goodtogo?

-thanks

Have you talked to any guys on DSB? They are helping me get my other Ninja 250r track ready. I know a few thing like no green coolant. Water and water wetter only. A few componants need to be safety wired. And you above mentioned stuff. I'm still learning but I hope this help a little more. BTW I should be at GingerMan in October.

wow, i have to change out the coolant and other ****? man **** that.

If i had money and time to have a 2nd bike modded only for track days, then id be all over it.

well as far as i read, it depends on the track and WHO is the track event company of that weekend!

from what i remb reading about sport bike track time (SBTT), they dont req, that coolant changed and other ****.

I dunno, but my OP* i just posted Dates that is more Likely ill be able to do.
Those dates arent FINALIZED yet. As sept-oct gets closer, while i call around and get the 411 from those track day event planners, then ill confirm a track date!

But, back to your coolant thing. I think thats ONLY if your gonna Race like in a League (weekly or monthly track days), i dont think its req' for a Novice Class 1 first track day. ya know?

You might be right. I thought OrangeDuc on DSB said something about coolant change for the weekends. I think I need to check back. As for the second bike...salvaged 2009. No tank scratches just needs new plastic. $1900... with only 98 miles on it.

Check the STT web site because its been a while since I rode novice.
That being said.
No you dont have to change your coolant in novice at STT. (SBTT as you say)
If I were you I would goto Gingerman. Just ran there over the weekend and the new track section is awesome. Grattan is a tough track for your first trackday.
goto youtube and check them out there is plenty of vids on both tracks.
Heres Gingerman

Link to original page on YouTube.

Im the star in this vid. it was early and I was just taking it easy.

Ill be at Gingerman for every trackday with STT as its my home track. Just look for my FZ6 It aint hard to find.
