Anyone have any experience with this seller??

Hey everyone, I was thinking of eventually replacing my bike's plastics (was in a low speed crash about a week ago), and I decided that as much as I like Kawasaki lime green, I love white even more. I found a set of all white plastics:
http://www.dhgate.com/2873-free-ship...a65fe7cbb.html

I wanted to know if anyone knows what kind of quality these types of cowlings are. They say they are the same thickness, are ABS, pre-drilled and have 95-98% fitment accuracy. $399 for the entire set with free shipping just seems very low priced.

Also, if those are okay to buy, how much do you think I could get for selling off stock cowlings, that are either pristine or only slightly scratched?

just curious!!

95% to 98% the same as the original fairings.
Why don't they just put 95% of the time? >.>

lol I was thinking the same thing. but i just had a little epic fail moment when I wrote this. I forgot my tank is green so I'd have to either repaint my tank or buy a white one. DOH!

What's the deal with this plasti dip stuff? Is it some sort of cheap man's way to get a quick paint job done? Also, since it technically rubberizes the surface you paint does it therefore make it more crash resistant, i'm sure it's not by a lot.

Basically, except since it's rubberized, it peels off whenever you want, so no need to sand down the paint before applying. Plus it's fairly strong, so it will take more than just rubbing for it to peel off.

so i could just apply it straight on top of the existing paint/clear coat? and if it sucks i can just peel that sucker off? hahaha i might have to consider this.
now if only the white matches up!

Yep, you can youtube plastidip; this guy plastidipped his whole car & lots of people use it on their car rims..so it's pretty durable. Straight out of the can it is matte, so that's why I suggested the glossifier.

You should be able to get everything you need here:
http://www.dipyourcar.com/

I think the spray is cheaper at this site as well.

Good luck, you should post some pics when you're done...Home Depot carries black plasti dip, fyi...no need to order that.

Not personally, but you can youtube videos (www.dipyourcar.com) or google it, very reputable, lots of people use it.

I will be getting some today though (just matte black) and spraying it on my extra rear fairing.

This also done with all plasti dip products: black base, then the gold metallizer, then black again.

i was reading somewhere that on wheels, people had a problem with dirt and fading after a few months. to fix that, one guy used plastidip for the base coat, then used a different brand of black spray paint on top, and then clear coat to finish. he said the finish was much better and more durable. I'd imagine since the plastidip was on the bottom, it would still peal off easily when you want, but the look wouldnt be affected by debris and normal wear and tear.

Their glossifier might help prevent that.
