Reducing the noise of an aftermarket exhaust ?
Can it be done ?
I bought a Leo Vince GP Corsa (Carbon) for my 250 because I hate the size and look of the original exhaust that comes with the ninja. The only thing I hate about the Corsa is the amount of noise it generates (even with the decibel killer). After a while its just too loud , it gets on your nerves and it just too obnoxious sounding , even makes the ninja sound like a dirt bike'ish above 5000rpms. So I was wondering since no aftermarket exhausts are the "silent type" , if I could do something to the Corsa to make it sound like the stock exhaust ?? (I read somewere about "re packing" the exhaust... but I doubt this will make much difference because for one thing, the Corsa is new (packing hasn't degraded much from use, so it's pretty fresh and tight) . (I cant stand the obnoxious dirt bike noise of aftermarket exhausts but I also can't stand the look of the stock 250 exhaust) . Do you guys have any ideas ? |

I have a Leo sbk exhaust and it came with two baffles and a db killer. With the db killer and the quieter baffle it's pretty quiet.
You should see of lv makes additional baffles for that can. I have a feeling they don't though.... |

I already have the decibel killer installed and running with the exhaust but it's not enough for me. (it didn't come with any additional baffles when I bought it). I sent an email to the Leo Vince team, lets see what they say. Also, I've read about this thing called dB Dawg, but it's not suitable for carbon mufflers ( a shame ). Hmmm... what else can be done ? |

Put the stock exhaust back. There is no aftermarket exhaust that will be quiet as that.

I know there's no aftermarket exhaust that can do what I'm asking (even if there was, I can't afford it right now). I'm simply asking for any tips/ideas on how to work with what I got. (without going back to stock) |

I'm pretty sure area p is quieter or as quiet as stock. You ride with earplugs in?

Yeah I don't have one. I vaguely remember reading about them being quieter but I could be wrong. They seem like good cans but they look dorky to me.
