[faster and faster] - MV Agusta Dragster RR LH44 unveiled, is a limited edition load

This is the limited edition MV Agusta Dragster RR LH44. Whatever happened to good taste? Good they're only building 244 of these. For bikes with an F1 connection, all MV had to do was look back upon their own F4 1000 Senna

MV Agusta have teamed up with F1 champ Lewis Hamilton to create the Dragster RR LH44, which MV claim is the "first motorbike dreamed up in the F1 paddock." If that's correct, we sure hope it's the last motorcycle that's dreamed up in any F1 paddock and that the F1 boys go back to snorting coke and shagging chicks in their motorhomes (does that sort of stuff even happen these days? We're not too sure...). Thank god then, that only 244 of these bikes will be produced.

We actually quite like the regular Dragster RR, it's just that we think the Dragster RR LH44 is in bad taste. Terrible. Who in their right mind would want all that red anodised metal on an MV Agusta? This is not a GSX-R-based 'streetfighter' cobbled up in somebody's backyard, right? So whatever happened to a bit of restraint? Anyway, MV say that the three-time F1 world champ, Lewis Hamilton, and the Dragster RR LH44, have much in common. "They are both radical and extreme as regards style, are obsessive about detail, exuberant, bold and fear no rivals. They share the same winning nature and desire for the absolute. Together, they form an irresistible force which, summed up in just a few letters, will become legendary - Dragster RR LH 44," says MV Agusta.

It seems Mr Hamilton provided some 'valuable' inputs to the Castiglioni Research Centre, and chose details, finishes and accessories for the bike. Most of the bodywork is carbonfibre and the bike wears Hamilton's racing number, 44. All mechanical bits remain unchanged over the regular Dragster 800. If MV Agusta really wanted to build a sportsbike/superbike with an F1 connection, they should've just looked back to their own F4 1000 Senna which was fabulous, or even Ducati's equally gorgeous 1199 Panigale S Senna. Now THOSE are proper motorcycles, right?
