motor from ninja 500 in a 250?

I just wonder if there is physically enough room to swap in the larger motor on the 250 chassis. Anybody thought about trying that or have they successfully completed such a swap?...how bout it guys (and ladies)?

It's already been dOne by someone on this site. Try doing a search. It's supposed to be a pain in the ass...

Just buy a bigger bike. Seriously there are some things that should not be messed with, is not worth the headache or structural risk. If your biggest worry is power and want a slightly bigger bike, then buy a 500 and then you can go and mod it all to your liking, is more cost effective and sound in the end. Just my 2 cents man, I am all for crazy things but some things should just be left alone.

I thought I had read where the larger engine came close to reaching the 250's structural weight limit. That, and the fairings had to be modified so they could even be bolted on at all.

If you can figure out how to transplant an engine into the 250, I'm pretty sure the fairings are the least of your worries.
