Newgen vs pregen handlebar

Are these interchangeable? I'm on the market for a right one for my '12 and I see the pregen are much cheaper

Thanks

They are very different unfortunately, PreGen uses a two piece set-up, riser and bars are separate, NewGen is one piece.

Here's the models the NewGen fit, hope this helps you out.

Besides the two piece difference, do the holes match to use one or the other? I'm guessing no but that's my original question

Even if they do, the fork tube diameter's are different. Pre gen has a 36mm fork tube while the new gen fork tube is 37mm

Oh right, the handlebar sits on top of it. Clearly they won't cross fit.

Thanks

I have an 86 EX250 which has 35mm forks, and I swapped some 36mm forks onto it to fit a 17" front wheel. Being 1mm difference, which is only .020" radius, i found that the 86 handlebars were a tight fit, but with a small amount of sanding the paint off the inside of the handlebars at the fork caps, they both fit. You may want to get a set and try them, not sure if they bolt up the same, but the 86-87's were the same, or close enough to fit the 88-07 fork upper triple tree with a little sanding of the paint inside where the tube fits.

As for the bolt holes for mounting them, they are just a little diffrent length apart, just enough to not let them swap.
