Very nice bikes - especially the 250R

Also, do you plan on getting rid of that horrid fender?

No secrets on the web. He used an Olympus E-520 on the bottom shot. There are lots of apps that let you view EXIF info.

You don't need any special program. Just right-click on the photo to save it to your desktop, then right-click on the file on your desktop and choose properties. It will show you all of the photo's properties, and if you hit details and scroll down, you'll see all of that EXIF data. (works in XP and Vista)

Thanks guys... and yup the EXIF data is there. Olympus e-520 DSLR - the first three shots were touched up.

... haha and yeah, my buddy rolls on skate shoes - not the best in terms of protection but he does wear everything else.

Muffin,

Those are freakin INCREDIBLE shots! What programs did you use to touch up the first three? What did you do to them? I love them.

What was the exposure and the aperture on the last one?

Yeah, I'm a photography phanatic. That is part of what drew me to this forum.

Great shots

Kris - I can't tell you much about the touch-up, but the other info you want is in the exif data in the thumbnail a few posts up - digital photography is great like that

Nice! Thank you!

I love the effects in the touching up part, in the above photo's.

I can't explain what it is, but its smooth, yet the quality is still sharp and vibrant.

Looks like the photos got some HDR treatment

Thanks everyone. You guys are right-on... the first few photos received light HDR treatment. The first shot (with both bikes) were three JPEG's taken at three different exposure settings (-1, 0, +1). The solo shots were taken in RAW and manually adjusted to -2, -1, 0, +1, +2 through Olympus software.

HDR was done through PhotoMatix Pro (free trial available online)

For the rolling shot, I can't recall the exact settings but what I do remember is I set the camera to shutter priority (mess around w/ shutter speed... depends on the ambient lighting and speed). I also set the camera to Continuous Focus mode (rather than the usual single focus) and Continuous Shooting mode (camera continues to take pictures while the shutter is held). Disable "Image Stabilization", if any, hop in a buddy's car and pan the camera with the subject (motorcycle) as he/she goes by.

On a real good day, you'll get 3-4 usable shots out of 10

Thank you for the tips!

I never knew what HDR was, I will be looking into that.

In May, I will be taking a photography class. I can't wait.
