Plastics

We all heard the tales about the early 300's plastic issues. Mine were fine...5,6 removals later I have consistent 1/8 gaps upper sections. Has anyone found any tricks to getting them tight ? I'm about to heat the tabs and bend them up a bit....any suggestions?

When you attach the fairings, get all of the screws started and about 1/2-way tightened, then push the fairing snug in the area you are concerned with and tighten it down. Then tighten all of the other points.

I wouldn't heat or try to bend anything unless it doesn't fit because of damage. Tabs may bend one way, but usually break when you try to bend them back. Bending a good tab will put additional stress on it and may make it break later.
