just picked this up a couple of weeks ago
2020 aprilia dorsoduro 900. this is the last year for the shiver and duro. i had to jump. rode 600 miles in 1 day. rode copperhead loop. nc 215/us276/us64. plus blue ridge parkway pisgah section to cherokee. the duro is a blast in the twisties. off full throttle hits so/so. it’s a scalpel in the corners though.

run great in the mountains. just did over 800 miles last weekend. bad points:
small gas tank(map out all gas stops) no pack room no wind protection (full wind last all the time) here is full pack

still running
not on here much but i still ridin. after destroying the concours in a crash on the skyway, i ride strictly italian now.
i picked a 2015 guzzi norge i take this to the mountains quite a bit as the pack space is generous cheers

i had been up since 0100 on the morning. went to work from 3-7 am. then rode all day in the mountains. i had tellico/reliance rd and was going to cross shy way and head for lodging in cherokee. it had rained in the morn in the mountains. fresh grass on top but mud underneath. i blew a corner and gentle tried to steer back onto the road. down she went. slid sideways in the mud/grass with plastic flying everywhere. had just crossed into north carolina too so i was 30 miles from robbinsville !

Man, that's not a pleasant situation! As I said, I'm glad you're OK.
By the way, you mentioned Wayah Road a couple years ago. When I looked at the map, I made a loop from Deals Gap, down 28 to Franklin for lunch, then Wayah Rd. to 129, and back to DG on 129. We rode it twice last year and once this year. We really enjoy Wayah Bald and the spectacular views. The first time we rode up there we weren't sure where the gravel road was going to end, but we kept at it for something like five miles until we got to the bald. That's become a favorite ride for my daughter and me. She looks young, but she's almost 30.
