Unplugged turn signal relay?
Hey guys n gals,
So a friend gave me an '08 250 with 5600 miles because she is moving, so my wife is going to learn how to ride on it. It sat for a couple years with being fired up, so after draining the fuel and changing the oil I go to start it and.... nothing. I digress, I'll talk about the build in another post. But everything is going back together now and I find an unplugged turn signal relay I didnt notice before hanging out under the left side of the tail. It was never plugged into anything. So... what's he doing here? |

Well that's where the turn signal relay is supposed to be, but it's obviously also supposed to be plugged in. Do the signals work? Perhaps they replaced the relay with a different one and just forgot to remove the old one?
Nice color, the red ones are the fastest.

Actually, at the top of the picture I can see what appears to be the plug that is supposed to be connected to the relay. It's the white plug, center top edge of the picture.

Position of relay makes it difficult to plug in with bodywork in place. That's probably why it's unppluged. Whoever played with it last probably discovered that little conundrum after putting tail section back on.
I reposition inside, to be accessible with just seat removed. Might as well do that now while you've got bodywork off. |
