Today is the day!

It was either going to be today or tomorrow. For some reason the state has been depositing my paychecks on Thursdays now instead of Fridays like they have been for the past eon. I set an alarm for 2AM just to check. It went off, I looked, and BAM! Paycheck was there. Submitted the deposit on the bike and all the paperwork electronically and now it'll be just another 4 hours before I leave to pick it up.

I couldn't fall asleep since I woke up at 2. It's been three weeks since I've been off the road and bumming rides from folks. Is it just me? Does anyone else get like that?

Oh, I should state, it's a 2010 250. 8k miles (don't know if that's good or not -- my 06 had 22k miles :P) Total note is just under $3k. New tires, brakes, and the tech agreed to go over and initial on all the maintenance schedule points.

I'll probably pay it off in just 3 months (it's a 1y note). MSF is finally scheduled for July 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Can't WAIT for that either.

Such a huge month.

Nice! Ask them to replace the windscreen bolt that is missing.

Good luck with her.

@csmith12 - lol I will out of principal, though I do have a set of blue ones coming in to match the rest of the bike. Interestingly I've been drooling over these photos and haven't noticed that bolt o.O

Congrats. Looks like the tank is 2010 blue but fairings are 09 or repainted since tail ones are black. What else is done to it?

@ForceofWill it looks like it has mismatched fairings, yes, though the blue flames look cool :P It almost looks like it fades from the dark blue to the light blue, which is appealing as long as you don't think about it too hard. It does have an aftermarket exhaust, shown below.

I can't remember who the manufacturer is. I'll look during my lunch break.

The turn signals are LED and they didn't change the relay for LED lighting, so I ordered it on Amazon. I'm not worried about a $10 part I can put in myself. For now it's hand signals :P

Mmm, look at that ass.

Oh, forgot to mention, the fuel sender is malfunctioning and it only reads halfway at full. I'll take it to them if it is more than like a $50 part -- if not, I'd rather replace it myself than ride all the way back there just to pick it up another day. I know it doesn't matter and I shouldn't rely on it, and I'm very use to using the odometer for those things, but something about having a gauge not working bugs me.

The gauge is an inaccurate POS anyway. Just use the odo... refill at 200 miles and you're golden.

Dang. You're even shorter than I am.

Normally the whole mismatched "zero f***s given" aesthetic doesn't appeal to me, but for some reason this works.

Cover the gauge with black electrical tape.

I'm going to do a gauge swap with some Koso gauges (mostly so I can get my thermostat back, but also to have badass gauges) so I'll likely look into it more then.

@adouglas - Yeah, I'm 5' 4". The mismatch works here I think because of the hues of blue

Something I noticed is that this shifts way smoother than my old pregen. I had to give it a good amount of oomph to change gear (I mean, relatively speaking -- It isn't like I needed a breaker bar or anything) whereas with this one it's as smooth as butter. On my pregen, it didn't matter how hard I tried, I couldn't shift clutchless. Here it's an afterthought. I do need to adjust the shifter height though because it does sit a bit high.

EDIT: Apparently it's something I can unbolt, clean the sender, and it'll be fixed unless something else is wrong (how it works is pretty simple) so I'll try that before buying a new one.

Good luck with her.
Also:
Little foam discs that cover the mirror adjustment bolts
Reflectors on the front fender (though most do not want)
Very bent left handlebar

Didn't the 2010 have white-faced gauges? Might have something to do with the bad fuel sender (incorrect resistance for updated wiring harness).

The 2010 didn't have white face gauges and sure enough... that bar is bent.
