Spray painted my windshield. 2012 Red 250

I didnt even know you could do this, until i was on this forum. Great idea! And really inexpensive! Love the darker look!

Looks great! Gonna have to do that to mine soon.

I dont mean to change directions of the thread, but what clock do you have mounted on your dash? It looks way better than the watch I have zip tied to the handlebars.

Your bike looks clean. I bought my bike wildshield already spray painted black, wish it wasn't because it's hard to see when I'm fully tucked. Maybe it's time for a new helmet.

I was going to do the watch thing, then i went to auto zone and found this.. put some 3M double sided velcro on the bottom, and stuck it on there. It also has the temp on it, and a light. lol! It was like $11.99 i think.

No shimming of the needles..-ive heard once you start messing with that, with the weather changes, you have to keep adjusting, etc.. im good with the performance it has now.. I talked to my brother about it, he's had several sports bikes, and has built race bikes before, etc.. i asked him about all that, and he didnt think that would be necessary with my bike. It runs aloot smoother, and she warms up alot faster. Before it would take me 3-5mins to warm her up, now it takes like 1min, and she is ready to go. The only difference so far ive noticed is that it idle's at 2, vs 1.5 before at a stop. I didnt do the lowering links, since i got my seat, im actually a little lower to the ground, so its not too bad. I think my boyfriend would kill me if i did lower it, since he is 6ft and likes to ride my bike every now and then.. lol!

It may warm up faster because its running even more lean. idk Ill mess with it and see what I think as well...

Lowering links are dope because you can adjust them pretty damn easily. But if its short enough for you now thats good.

Mary, did you cut off the outside temperature sensor? If not, did you just stick in behind the clock kind of hidden or did you put it someplace specific?

Also, seems this clock will only display in 12hour format; not a huge deal breaker, but a downside for some (like myself. Grrr).

Nah, will pick up better velcro or double sided adhesive after class, didn't have time for that now. I'll just use the one that was included for now.

I left the wires on it-in the twistie tie, and shoved it behind the clock.. And I just stuck the temp thing to the back of the clock, so when i remove it to change out the battery, its not stuck to something. I dont think the temp is that accurate tho, since its inside there.. i was thinking about just cutting it off myself.. but i dont know if it will mess it up or not-im mechanically declined.. lol! yeah, its only 12hr.. Sorry.. I wish it lite up blue like the sticker!! That would be sweeet!!

Yeah, for now the wires are still there.

I'll probably clip it off when I open her up and change the backlight bulb to a brighter red one.

Looks good... I really like that red windshield! Did you paint it? And if so, what paint did you use for that? I have an idea for like a two tone red/black design that I might try and that red would be perfect!
