Not so fast, CZroe... In some ungodly war between adrenaline and insomnia, I did a 2,523 blast from Missoula, Montana to Richmond, Virginia in 64 hours, pausing to visit Badlands National Park on the way.
On a DRZ with Motorcross knobbies. I really hope I win, not for the fortune and fame, because no one should ever, ever do that. I have a ride report somewhere...

Not a long distance guy, longest day was Milwaukee WI out to eastern Ohio. I made a point of going AROUND the whole Chicago/Gary corridor, which added to the miles, but made things much more pleasant. Fun thing is, I was on a bike I'd just bought the day before (650R).

Longest Ride I've ever done on a Motorcycle was the coast Run my Uncle and I did in the early 1970's we went from Redding ca. down to Delano, and cut over to the coast on a back road and came up HW 1 all the way to point Arena near Eureka then cut over through clear lake and back up to Redding it took us 3 days, one flat tire and the pain in my butt only lasted for the first day really
but the memory of that ride has been a high point in my life for sure ! the pain in the butt got so bad we had to stop on the first day and take short brakes.... and when you got back on the bike it was just as bad as when you got off it..... LOL.... but we made it to Delano on the first day and stayed at Grandma's house....for the night that really helped from there on we were planning on camping but never did for one reason or another and my uncle paid for the motels.... that first 550 miles was a killer on the ASS but that quickly faded and the ride was pleasant from then on. all in all we covered over 2000 miles in 3~4 days we lost 3/4 of a day because I had a flat ! but I was prepared and fixed it on the side of a very un-used road out in the boonies.... in the drizzling rain.... my uncle said follow me and we went straight to a motel and that was a god send after all that work ! .... My bike had a center stand ! LOL.... that made the tire repair possible ...I was on a Honda 305 Dream and my uncle was on his new Honda CB450 it was a very memorable trip .... I hope to do another trip soon on my new CSC RX4..... don't think I'll take the triumph that far from Home ! .... the farthest I've gone on the Ninja 250r is about 50 miles one way.... and by the time I got home I was in severe pain from the riding position .... it's just not the way I ride ! good bike but painful for this old man ! .... Bob......
