decat new gen header

Well, I'm getting close to having the 250 back on the pavement. I want to pull the trigger on an area p system, but not yet. So I opened up the stock header. I just assumed it would have some sort of catalyst in the y pipe. The only thing there was to gut was the preforated tube in the mid pipe. Not sure how much this will actually help.

Yup no catalyst but the 250 will benefit from the removal of it albeit small.

Less restriction so the engine will breathe better in the top end.

That is the catalyst... It's made out of the same platinum alloy any car's cat is... I plan on doing this as well here soon.
