Friction Zone
Where is your "Friction Zone" on your bike?
I've just gotten curious because mine is ALMOST ALL THE WAY OUT before I feel any grab from the engine. (It's actually quite annoying sometimes.) What about you? |

I'm going to adjust it soon. I'm still learning about bikes though, so I'm taking it slow about doing anything to the bike. I just don't want to mess anything up that can't be fixed easily because the bike is my ONLY means of transportation to work.
Why was this moved to pre-gen? |

Your profile says you have a 2007, is that correct? "Pre-gens" on this site are from '86 - '07. "New-gens" are the 2008+ models.

That's correct. I just thought that this post related to pre-gen and new-gen.
No worries. Just curious. |

I adjusted my wifes pregen to catch about 2 inch out. So it's quite easy to ride the friction zone for low speed stuff with the "finger bumper" method.
