Wash DC Riders- I need directions!

I drive up 95 a few times a year. Yesterday I was going through VA on 95 and I passed a hottie around Dumfries. Now I drive faster than most so I'm passing people all the time. I get to DC and take the outerloop (towards the east). I get back on 95 headed to Baltimore. As I get into the Harbor tunnel in Baltimore I pass the same girl. There must be a shortcut through DC that I don't know about. What is the fastest way through Wash DC?

She probably went 295 up Anacostia freeway to BW Parkway. Probably a 5-7 mile difference than going 95 to 495. Sometimes a little less traffic as well.

I always go your route, CC. Maybe its just bad luck but I've taken anacostia and hit bumper to bumper traffic a few times so I just gave up on it. This is why when I go on vacation I leave around 9 or 10pm so I don't hit traffic anywhere.

Best route is via local Best Buy. While there get a good GPS. Seriously, I live in DC area in between overseas tours, and each time I'm there I curse the idiot who planned the local highways. Absolutely effed up exchanges everywhere, the nuttiest signage this side of China, highways that dump you into neighborhoods or ban you from driving them at certain times of day. I do not drive through the crazy town without a GPS.
