Ello everyone. I ride a black Ninja 250. I assure you I will bombard this forum with questions as I am newer to motorcycle maintenance, and am having difficulties finding solutions. Nice to meet all of you.

Welcome! I'm new to doing my own maintenance, too. It helps if you know someone who's good at it, who can help you get it all back together after you've done stuff.

Welcome to the club! I had never done vehicle maintenance before I got my Ninja, but I've done some things to mine now and it's pretty easy to work on. I'll be making my biggest step this winter and doing a valve inspection.

Welcome,

The Ninjettes are pretty easy to work on and there isn't much that folks around here haven't seen on them.

thanks, you guys have been really helpful! So far ive fixed my loose axle nut, adjusted my clutch cable (im certain it is far to gone, along with the clutch itself) learned i need a new chain, looked into 15/44 sprocket setup (but havent figured out what length chain i need for that?) looked into a new air filter, etc. So far my 26 hours of being a forum member has been great!

Med.. I sweep and my hubby leads our group. We have Sena's so we can communicate.

We ride about 2 hours to get there. Ends up a 450+ mile day and 12 hours. It is a ton of fun.

We do this ride every spring too.

It looks really fun from the videos I watched on that post.

If i went id have to find a new chain as i dont trust mine for that much riding. The only shop around here is a Off Road Honda shop so all they have are dirt bike chains. I dont know if MX chains are ok for street speeds, etc.??

Ill post back tomorrow if thats ok and give you an update?
