What have you stuffed/mounted behind your windscreen?
I'm currently in the process of figuring out how to fit a rearview camera LCD and my GPS behind the windscreen above the dash and it got me wondering what other people have been able to creatively fit in that small space.
Pictures preferably but a detailed description of what you fit and how you fit it would be adequate. ....... Ok...... go!

I put my garage opener there for a while..
And if I ever get around to wiring in a USB outlet (too lazy right now..) I will mount my phone there. |

I always put small mail in there when I check my mail on the way home instead of walking out at the end of the day to check it. I've also put my glove liners and a washing sponge in there.
I saw someone that keeps a Kermit the Frog plush in there, I thought that was awesome. |

Awesome... keep'em coming! It's like a 2nd trunk. To some of us, even more useful than the actual trunk.

My GPS will get mounted in there once I wire it in, but other than that nothing yet. Unless you count gloves when I'm not on it.

With my huge-mongous ZG touring windscreen, I can put my FastLane transponder, my GPS, and my cool-looking but not terribly useful clock/thermometer/compass thingamajigger in there all at once!
Once I got my GPS mounted, I didn't really need a clock or a compass, of course, and the thermometer doesn't work very well. Oh well. It looks sweet, and that's half the fun of farkles! |

Pics and details on the mount? I have a GPS, but I've yet to decide on how to best mount it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdvG12rvCZ8 They use a new windshield with a higher bubble to centermount a small LCD screen above the gauges, and the camera is in the stock tail just below the brake light. That's the catch, they currently only have a system that works with the stock ginormous fender, nothing yet for people with fender eliminator kits. |

Yea the only problem is that I have a GPS that I want to put in the same place and there just isnt enough space to fit both in there. I've spent some time here and there thinking about it but I dont know if there is a solution to a space problem.

You could always mount the GPS either under the gauges or mounted to the tripletrees.
Or if you get rid of the stock gauges and use one of the Koso packages, mount the Koso offcenter to the side and mount the GPS next to it. |

I made a bracket (aluminum angle bar and Velcro) to hold my Daytona H2O meter, Chinese gear indicator, and LED indicator for my auto-switch garage door opener relay. I also have a ball mount on the left mirror bolt that holds my elector-RAM mount for GPS. I keep the GPS power tucked, with Velcro, behind the other equipment when not in use. All this fits nicely behind my ZG DB windshield (light smoke). If the GPS is mounted, it does obstruct the other things mounted on the dash, but I rarely use the GPS, and none of it is critical. I find this ends up being the best use of all parts.
Here is a link to my GPS mount (before I added the other stuff): http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=20009

I covered the top of the speedo with the hook side of industrial velcro. Then I put the fuzzy side on all my stuff like GPS, cellphone, camera, radar detector etc. So when I take off. I can just toss whatever up there and it wont fly out.
Top of the front brake resevoir is also covered with industrial velcro hook...My cellphone usually rides there. |

I've put a pastry from Panera up there on my way home and I usually slide my ID card in between the windscreen and the gauge console. As long as it's not going to slide around too much while you're riding, things are pretty secure up there. Windscreen = barely any wind, if any at all, most of the time.

I used to keep folded ball caps there but even though there didn't appear to be any wind and I could ride for hundreds of miles without issue, it would blow out every now and then. I just had to stop.

My cap always goes there when I ride, tho on occasion my cell phone has also taken a ride in that compartment... That might change once I put in my double bubble screen, as I'll have more space to play around with...
