Engine Rebuild Question
I’m just about done putting my engine back together. I’m trying to put the flywheel bolt(92002) back in the flywheel.
My question is how do I stop the crankcase from turning while I tighten the bolt. |

use a rubber grip tool (like what you use to grab an oil filter) around the hub.

I usually just use an impact drver, never had any issues with that.

I use an impact gun. If all else fails you can put the engine in the bike with the cover off. Put the chain on and hold the rear brake.

Anyway the strap wrench did work, the bolt is secure. But this reminds me of something else. I have about a 3/8" of free play in the gears of my clutch basket. Is that cause for concern. |

if i'm poor and need tools i'll usually go buy it, use it, then return it. harbor freight doesn't care since the tool only cost then $0.50c

Are you sure the 3/8" is from the gears and not the basket itself.

yeah that vid sums it up. My clutch basket has more free play than that. I'll look into a replacement.
Thanks everyone for you help |

They can be pretty loose and still work OK. I don't think its possible to find one that is perfect though.
