I知 having a problem with my starter
I致e been having a weird clanking sound from my idle gear and one way clutch gear for the starter and idle gear. I have a video showing a better explanation.

The video does not work. Is your battery in a good condition? If the battery is weak you will hear clanking noise with no cranking

The video works for me. I just know know the answer.
 I haven't had to dig into that side of my engine yet.
