Need Carb Part

Aloha, does anyone have '1' of these needle jet, part #16017-1326 from our Ninja 250s? These carbs are from a Newgen but not sure if this size is from the pregens also.

Mahalo, in advance.

Beware what you are requesting here.
You posted "these carbs are from a Newgen" ...however the part # you specifically request 16017-1326 is actually used in pregens 88-07.

Newgen ('08-12) use 16017-1417.

You absolutely sure you don't need 16017-1417?

Not sure of the part number but I know the difference between the two as I have both motor from both gens. There is a significant difference in the vacuum lines between the two.
.
And what's this BEWARE stuff?

by requesting the pregen part # for use in a newgen carb, you're inviting receiving the wrong part for the application

Check your DM, I have a 5 hour layover in Phoenix on my way back from the PRI show from Indy. Was going to drop you some Hawaii goodies. DM me, let me know.

Sorry, I was in middle of moving and missed lots of emails.

Carbs are very different between pre-gen and new-gen models:

- Different rubber manifold shapes
- Different diameter venturis
- Different needle shapes
- Different jets

End result is vastly different fuel-mappings for two completely different flow-patterns. You'll end up super-rich in mid-range with lazy response. And super-lean in high-end and risk blowing headgasket and melting hole in pistons.

Dang it, I got this fully rebuilt Newgen with all new internals, Stage 3 kit, etc. My CRs are still at the shop waiting for parts to get rebuilt for 4 months. Anywho thanks for the intel. See you in a week and a half.
