2008 250: To repair or part out?

Folks, we're trying to decide if it is cheaper to repair a bike or part it out.

Current bike has a bent frame (front yoke and subframe area) and bent forks plus some rashed plastics.

What would be a going price for a used 250 frame? What years are interchangeable? 2008 - ?

Completely talking outta my ass here, but my guess would be is that you can repair it for about what you'd get if you sold it.

I say it's time to convert it into a track bike!

Bent frame = parts bike, IMHO.

i bought my 2008 ex250 for 2000 and i put like 1k into it and i have a brand new bike, if your up to the project id say why not? mine had a bent subframe, and i just cut it off and welded a new one on, when i got it there was nothing in the rear end, no subframe, no fairings nothing, i had to rebuilt from scratch, but its an experience i wouldnt change for anything

If you do decide to part it out, I may be in the market for a radiator.

Parts

400 frame, 250 front end. Cost let's just say 700 to fix yourself

Engine, 600, cooling system 100, rear end 250, bent frame and title 250 bent forks 75, the rest of the front end 150, controls 75, fairings 100-500 depending on condition.... Say 1600-2000 to part it out. Buy an ugly scratched up one for 1500 and use leftovers to pretty it up.

Damage listed you be better off buying another used bike w good frame but needing other parts. Then use current bike parts to get new one going.
I'd think this could be done for under $1k and most of that be the price of the new project bike.

I don't think there's a vehicle in existence that isn't worth more in pieces than it is all together.
