Aftermarket speedo/tach?

Does anybody know of an easy to install aftermarket speedo/tach that would fit on a 2004 Ninjette? Preferably digital, since I'm not really digging the stock analog cluster even though it works perfectly fine.

I really like the Trailtech Vapor gauges.

I'm assuming it's not plug and play, is it? To my knowledge the '04 Ninja has a mechanical speedo cable, or at least it looked that way last time I took off the front wheel and spent forever trying to line up the speedo housing again.

Here's a clean install: https://www.ninjette.org/forums/show...8&postcount=25 . Pretty simple to set up:

- mount gauge, I bolted on aluminium plate. Velcro for phone/GPS/lap-timer
- connect power wires
- connect tach wire
- replace factory coolant-switch with coolant-sensor and connect wire
- tape/zip-tie speed-sensor to bottom of fork
- glue speed-sensor magnet to brake-disc

Takes all of 30-45 minutes to install. Nice thing is you have programmable shift/redline light. And readouts of ambient outside-air temp as well as coolant temperatures. Speed can be calibrated to exact tyre-size, so 100% accurate.

Trick to lining up speedo-drive on front-wheel is to make wood wedge to roll wheel onto, or use your toe to hold wheel up while you rotate speedo-drive. With this unit, you don't have to line up rotation of speedo-drive, just use it as wheel-spacer.

When my 250 was last on the road I had a Koso XR-SR on her. It was fairly simple to install and was a great cluster complete with warning lights and coolant temperature. I don't have any other pics of it sorry.

Hi DannoXYZ, I'm currently throwing this onto our '05. Did you connect the power directly to the battery, or did you splice into the existing electrical system. Could I just connect it to the aux port up at the handlebars? I have little to no idea what I am doing. Any help would be amazing!

Aux power ports by handlebars will work. Best to get matching bullet connector so it is firm connection.
