WTB: 2011 250R Rear Tire

Inherited a bike that was sitting. After getting everything working and pumping tires into the bike, I found a nail in the rear tire!

I'm on a budget, so please provide an offer. I am located in Orange County, CA.

Hi and welcome!

Sorry to hear about nail. Here's a good deal on OEM tyre.

I'm not telling you what to do, but if the nail hole is in the tread and cords aren't cut (not lumpy), it might not be unreasonable to patch it on the inside and fill the hole with sealer. I patch my motorcycle tires without hesitation if they get a nail hole, but each rider needs to make the safety decision on his own.

Yeah, patching on inside definitely works. Much better and safer than plugs a lot of places use.

I had a screw in one of my tyres. It wasn't leaking, so I just left it and eventually wore off the screw-head.

Same here. I just replaced the worn-out tire on my '72 H2. It had a screw in it for at least half its life, but it wasn't leaking air, so I left the screw in.
