Speed & Strength apparel / Scorpion helmets / Icon apparel
Hi all,
My shop just got a great deal with S&S and Scorpion, so let me know if you want anything that they make. We have a pretty good selection in stock, but I can get everything in their catalogs. I can't advertise the prices, but they are well below anything that I've seen online. Either send me a PM or give my guy Matt a call at 770 425 5252, and we'll get you hooked up! I race in a Scorpion EXO1100, and have owned 3 EXO400s for the street. Great, underrated helmets to say the least. As a side note, we liked the Twist of Fate suit so much that my shop owner bought one for himself. It performed really well at the trackday we had on Sunday, and he's a convert. Cheers, Ed EDIT: We've added Icon apparel to the discount lists!

I've owned an EXO400 for years, and until very recently it was my track helmet (replaced with S&S SS2000). They are most definitely underrrated helmets. A little noisy, but with earplugs they're fine (I had an HJC that was loud even WITH earplugs in!)
I got a set of the Twist of Fate leathers from Speed and Strength as part of the Zero to Hero contest, and they're every bit as good as my Alpinestars Vector leathers which retail for $200 over the cost of the S&S. Only downside is that they don't have a removable liner like the A*s do, but the back protector is better, and they breathe a little bit better as well. The mesh material at the bottom where it sits inside your boots is a brilliant move on their part, and the overall construction is top notch. If you've got a deal on them, guys should definitely pay attention!

Guys,
Thanks for the huge response! We're working to respond to all the emails right now. We now have pricing lists for the S&S gear and Scorpion helmets put together now, so the quote process should be a lot quicker! E

I have the EXO500 and love it! When it comes time for a new helmet, I think I might go for the 1100...
I also just picked up a Scorpion Hat Trick jacket (second hand, since they don't make them anymore) and really like it! It's a mesh jacket, but has two liners to make it a 3-4 season jacket, which I was really interested in for commuting... So far, I am really liking it! And I really like the look of the new Force jacket... At some point, I wouldn't mind picking up one of those...

The main reason the 500 appealed to me so much was the internal visor... I commute an hour each direction and in the fall/spring the sun is not up when I leave, but comes up while en route and visa versa on the way home, so having the dual purpose helmet was something I really wanted! And it works great! And now, I bought the silver tinted visor and combined with the drop down visor, the sun doesn't bother me at all (which is usually right in my eyes both directions)...

When ready to upgrade from a 400, I tried the 1000 and it didn't fit my head. Its shape was more elongated. Luckily the 500 fit perfectly. I guess it's made for rounder head shapes. Just something to consider.

I also found that the fit of the exo500 is identical to that of the exo400. I will likely be getting one this winter also, SS jackets and gear are great; really solid gear. I have the twist of fate textile jacket and LOVE it. The twist of fate 2.0 is even better looking, and comes WITH ce certified spine armor, not just a little foam pad. The quality of this jacket has impressed me in the 3 seasons that I've been riding, and I will also be buying a twist of fate 2.0 this winter as well! I will keep you in mind when I buy myself new gear this winter. Will the hookup last that long or should I just hope to hit end of season prices at my dealership?

I should be able to give you guys these prices for a long while, but it all depends on how much S&S/Scorpion stuff the shop actually sells.

1.) When you say "apparel" do you mean gear or do you have other SS items, like hats & t-shirts? 2.) Do you have a good selection for us ladies???

I have a s&s jacket now, I mainly got it cuz it was cheap, kinda pisses me off though cuz I'm like right between a small and a med so my jacket is a bit large cuz the small was just right/a little tight so I got a med... Know of any s&s jacket that bridges this gap?

The med I have right now has arm and waist adjustable as well (I think I have the twist of fate I can't remember) but is more for the guys who need it larger rather than smaller lol

In that case, you need to find a Barnhill's or Golden Corral and go nuts.

I have a small twist of fate, I'm a skinny guy (runner) and it adjusts perfectly down to my size so the armor is snug and doesn't move or bunch up while I ride. You should be fine if you need it smaller.

The Twist of Fate suits go down to 38 US, which is probably still too big for you. You may have to get a custom suit; try Todd at heroicracingapparel.com

hahaha i actually did that for snowboard pants..there was a ladies pair of snowpants mixed in with the mens pants and i was like FINALLY FOUND ONE THAT FIT!! So i bought it, and then realized it was women's. FML. now i ride with just really baggy men's pants, and deal with it, though the womens do fit very well hahaha.
