Did you have to modify it at all? What are your impressions?

Modifications, none. It did take a lot of time to line up to make it match. Also the new gen comes with two for each side, obviously i only used one per side.

My impressions so far are that they are absolutely awesome. I had issues with sliding while corner and this solved the problem. A bit on the pricey side, I think getting a generic set and cutting it to match both sides might be a bit cheaper, but still well worth the money either way.

Looks great!
And that's exactly what I did. I was afraid the precuts for the 08 would look weird so I went with the generics and used one of the patterns they provide for free. I only had to use one of the 2 sheets provided, plus you get the tank protector also.
Hope you don't mind me posting some pictures:

Nice! I like the looks of yours. Is the tank protector made of the same material?

Thanks. Like I said, the universal kit comes with quite a few patterns to choose from and I thought this one looked like a good match.
Yep, it's the same material (I went with snakeskin) and comes precut in that shape which is really nice.

I have used boat non slip step material, and it works great. You can cut to fit. I got it at Bass Pro
