Is there some kind of spray-on rubber film I can use to coat parts that are rubbing?

My Sportisi undertail rubs where the left tail cowl touches it near the tip and further down on the opposite side. It is rubbing through the paint. I recently installed an OEM solo seat cowl and found that it rubs the parts of the undertail that surround the tail light (it replaces black shroud parts of the fender too). It, too, is rubbing through the paint. Now, my solo seat cowl is the old version without the notch to using the helmet lock and the Parrot SK4000 kit I have on the helmet comes REALLY close to the cowl and will contact and scratch with regular use.

I'd like to coat all mating surfaces with a thin coat of rubber so that they do not directly contact. In the case of the helmet, I'd coat the protruding portion of the SK4000 with it (the portion of the clamp that sticks out). PlastiDip is too thick and can't be easily applied to taped off areas, so I doubt I can use that.

Do they sell some kind of rubber-coating spray can stuff at home improvement stores? If not, I may have to resort to cutting and adhering some thin rubber film. So, do they sell thin rubber film at home improvement stores?

I'm not sure why I posted this in 1986-2007 farkles forum, but it's not really model-specific. *shrug*

That might do the trick! Any idea if it works well in thin coats?

haaaa! that is just what I was going to list. See a lot of Ford truck people are also coating their rims/bumpers with that stuff to cover the bling. It will come off without to much trouble they say.

yep plastidip.. ive used it a bunch of times, works great and doesnt hurt the paint underneath. peels off like a sticker when you dont want it on there.
