New member, hello!

I'm a new member and new rider from Philly, PA, US. I have an 07 Ninja 250 and an 05 YZF600R.
I got the 600 and decided it was a little too much torque for my experience level, then the Ninja came up for a good price. Mostly because it wasn't rideable.

Hi Sean, welcome! You'll probably like the 250 a lot, but as long as you don't twist the throttle too much, the 600 is OK too. My first motorcycle was my 1972 Kawasaki H2, and I still ride it.

The 600 is nice, but it's a lot of torque for a new rider. I'll probably get used to it eventually, but for now a lower torque option is great to keep me a little less nervous while I'm learning.

Kilt

I have a kilt too, but I don't wear it when I ride.

Yeah, I'll stick to leathers when riding. I can always change into my kilt.

ThatGuy - did you ever get that 250 riding? I'm also from Philly, currently living just outside in Glenside and also new to the 250 and the whole sport bike approach.
