Will it fit? Throttle Cables Edition

Hey, so I am trying to buy some throttle cables for my 08 ninja 250. Someone is trying to say that the 2012 throttle cables will not work, but I thought nothing changed from 08 through 12. Will 2012 throttle cables fit on my 08?

They should. As long as both bikes have carbs

Throttle cables did not change - they will be fine.

Only thing that changed is whateverthehell the shock mounts to - same shape/size just lighter metal. They also changed a connector from the generator to the wiring harness. Those are the only changes from 08-12 that I know of.

Just a note about throttle cables. If you try to make your own. Or modify the throttle cable. Be very careful. A stiff throttle is a huge NO NO on a motorcycle. Also don't under estimate the complexity of the simple throttle cable. Making your own is surprisingly difficult

And while you're at it, remember that poor cable routing can lead to inconsistent binding when the tank is put on the bike. (Ask me how I know ) binding cables are no bueno

About the same, I haven't been riding, I've been doing house projects....

Getting married has been one hell of a transition...

You full time on the rack with your 250?
