Tach doesn't work on my race bike
I've got a 2009 250r converted to race-only. The tach worked when it was a street bike. I stripped it down and put the tach back on and now it doesn't work...anything come to mind? Bike runs fine, and the tach works on my other Ninja. Is there something stupid that disables the tach? I didn't pull any fuses or cut any wires.
Any help is appreciated. |

Most likely a loose connection or break in the signal somewhere.
Attached is the wiring diagram for the tach.

Yeah I agree with that as well...just a matter of finding it. Possible that I blew a fuse, but seems unlikely.
It's the stock tach I know of some weird tricks with other bikes (i.e. pull the fan and the speedo doesn't work...stuff like that) and wasn't sure if anyone knew of something like that for these bikes. |

I agree, it sounds like a wiring issue. Double check your tach wiring.
