Don't know where to put this, there are so many choices I'll just leave it here.

he didn't even have to push it up, he could have just walked it up with a little throttle. I've seen too many idiots do this to perfectly good bikes.

or you could just buy a lighter motorcycle. I dunno what kind, maybe something that doesn't look like it weights 900 lbs. I heard 250rs are pretty light...

I load motos on/off my pickup at least a dozen times a year, always walk along the moto, not ride it up the ramp.
I use two ramps, one for the moto, another for myself to walk along the moto to get up to thetruck bed:

But a sensible method like that makes for much less interesting videos.

Dang, that sucks. His problem was he wasn't committed enough. I'm really lazy and I ride up my ramp the same way but if you're going to do it you gotta be committed. You can't slow down or throttle while on the ramp.

My motorcycle bud does it. He pushes his bike real fast, gaining enough momentum, and leaps onto the truck's bed. Never dropped a bike. The problem with this guy (2nd vid) was he was coming at an angle--gotta be lined up straight. But I liked how his GF just kept laughing, and you know the other girl wanted to laugh along but held back. LOL

When I load my bike in the back of my very tall truck. (3/4 ton 4x4) I back the rear tires in the ditch and keep the fronts on the pavement. That puts the tailgate about a foot off the ground. Its easy to load it up then. If you dont have a ditch a mound or a hill with a flat spot at the bottom will do.

I’ve never loaded a motorcycle into the back of a pickup truck. This video has a few examples of how not to do it.

It's amazing that most of those folks were able to get out of the way. The potential for serious injury is definitely there.

I don't know how these people get as far as attempting these manoeuvres. Most of these loading ideas look sooo wrong to me that I wouldn't even attempt them.

I've never loaded a bike into a pickup, but I can already think of a bunch of ways of doing it which have close to zero chance of getting good youtube views. Like... find a raised bit of road that you can back the pick-up, up to and then just wheel it on. No balancing issues. No ground clearance issues.

As I have always said in the paddock...

The proper way to load a bike in the back of a truck is with a long running start, wheelieing, while draggin' knee, while 2 up, one handed, while flippin' the bird with the other and in shorts and flip flops.

That is the reason why these gents failed.

watched a guy load a little cruiser onto a big trailer this weekend, i was in the process of walking to him to offer assistance as i knew he was going to try and ride it up and probably bottom out at the top knuckle where the ramp meets the flat of the trailer. He road up before i got to him, he made it but he dragged, it was a close call.

I watched a buddy of mine break his rear windshield on his pickup loading his 4-wheeler in the bed. He went a little too far and the bumper on the 4-wheeler just tapped the glass which put a thousand cracks in it... He was pissed.

After he got his quad tied down he put something in the truck, then shut the door. The glass then shattered and the pieces went everywhere. It was all I could do to not bust out laughing.
