Jan's Tropics and Elegant Pooch. Website claims oldest pet store in Nevada, all I know is they have been in business forever! The place where I got fishies and kitties when I was growing up.

New challenge: Your bike near a lake.

I miss being able to go the lake in the evening.

Tried to run out for ice cream and a picture at a nearby lake/park last night. They were closed Sunday evening by the time we got there.

Lake Montclair, in the posh housing development near my house. Naturally, I live on the other side of the metaphorical tracks. The lifeguards were pretty casual about my trespassing though.

Next: Your bike near a waterfall. A sign indicated at the head of a path leading to a waterfall is also fine by me. Creative interpretations welcome.

Backup challenge: Your bike with a golf cart. Golf course optional.

Would love to do this as a golf course is 3 miles away, but my bike isn't legal.

Rode to Great Falls National park with my daughter, you can see the river between the bikes, couldn't ride to the falls.

She says the next challenge should be Your bike with your state flower.

That's awesome! I really thought the backup would be necessary. I am pleasantly surprised.

Now where the heck am I gonna find a dogwood tree?

Finding a dogwood tree should be easy. Finding one in bloom could be more difficult. But you might be able to find one on a sign.

Just read this about the Dogwood, Technically the flower is the small yellow clusters in the center of the white bloom. So you probably can still find a dogwood tree with "Flowers", just not the bloom.

The peony's should be blooming right about now. Should I push my ninjette to the nearest plant, or should I borrow somebody else bike.

Get a fresh white suit, ride your bike until you find a rose bush, pick a single rose and place in in your vest pocket, strut bike around town, be macaroni as ****.

Well the spirit of the game is to get out and ride your bike and take a picture, so I would say you need to borrow someone's bike.

Fight the man! Push it there!

MI is the apple blossom. I think we've passed that point (the bloom timing is apparently a rocket science formula based on how long/cold the winter was and how warm spring has gotten how quickly), and people generally don't plant apple trees in their flowerbeds either.

I support creativity if it involves riding your motorcycle to meet the challenge. So if you can find a picture of an apple blossom on a billboard or side of a building, ect.... That's fine with me.

Yes,

Current challenge is:

Your bike with your state flower.

And due to various blooming times on various flowers I am open to creativity.

For example if you live in Virginia and the Dogwood trees are not blooming, but you happened to pass one of these signs on a ride and took a picture I would accept it.

I'm planning to do a lot of riding this afternoon. Even with some Googling, I'm not sure where I might find even a pic of our flower, but I'll be on the lookout. If you want to pick something else, I'd go for that too.

Yeah little late for apple blossoms.

Lets change the challenge to Your bike in front of a tree or other plant in bloom

Yeah,

State Flower was just too specific I guess and many of them only bloom earlier in the spring, so I'll make it a little easier.

It's a "stop and smell the roses" challenge, but they don't have to be roses.

Despite riding 150mi (just pleasure riding around with no destination) in the last two days, I never saw anything in bloom that jumped out at me, just a few flowerbeds with tiger lilies. If I had taken a pic, it would've been very similar.

Rode through the local state park, since I haven't been there in a while. Got a sunset shot of a little nature and the lake, created by the dam which the road passes over.

Saw a woodchuck and two rabbits crossing the road while I was there.

In honor of the Ionia Free Fair starting this week, let's try for your bike at a fair/carnival.

Just heading out for a ride now to catch this one. Hopefully @InvisiBill doesn't issue a new challenge for the next couple of hours.
